Luxury tropical island accommodation somewhere between five stars and heaven
PADI Dive Courses
We recommend that you complete the theory section of your PADI Dive Course, available on the PADI website, before you arrive at Vatulele Island Resort. This will save time and allow you to make the most of every second you spend underwater at Vatulele. You are then able to partake in the practical portion of your Dive Course when you arrive at the Resort.
Dive into the crystal clear water of the South Pacific to swim with turtles, eagle rays and colourful reef fish. Available at an additional charge.
Vatulele is recognized as one of the premier dive destinations of the region and is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort. With two PADI instructors and a PADI Course Director on staff the resort offers a variety of courses, including Discover Scuba Diving for those who have never tried diving and Advance or Specialty Courses for those already certified.
Discover Scuba Diving
If you have ever thought about diving this is the best location to try it! After watching a short video showing the basics of scuba diving, you will join your instructor in shallow water to learn the use of scuba equipment and practice a few skills. This is followed by a dive on the reef where you will be able to see exotic marine life like turtles, eagle rays, anemone fish, butterfly fish and many more. The Discover Scuba Diving course is not a full certification course, but enables you to dive with a PADI professional to a depth of 12m/40ft during your vacation at Vatulele and can be credited towards the PADI open water course in the future.
PADI Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Certification opens a whole new world of fun and excitement and is recognized internationally. You learn the basics of scuba diving, practice some skills in shallow water and then do 4 exhilarating dives on the reef. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the prolific marine life of Vatulele’s reef in a safe environment. If you have already completed the Discover Scuba Diving course, this dive can be credited towards your certification. The PADI Open Water course can be done over 3 to 4 days.
PADI Advanced Open Water Course
A total of 5 adventure dives are needed for the advance course. Starting with a navigation and deep dive you can choose 3 more dives from drift, boat, multi level, peak performance buoyancy, underwater scooter or search and recovery to complete the requirements. This is a fun course with very little theory and lots of opportunity to refine existing skills and learn new skills.
PADI Specialty Courses
Vatulele Dive offers a range of different specialty dive courses ranging from drift, deep, navigation, peak performance buoyancy & underwater scooter. Please see our Dive team to discuss your preferences.
